Saturday, February 10, 12:00 p.m.: Tea & Chocolate Pairing with DAR Chocolate - Join us for a unique pairing of Teatulia Organic Teas with DAR Chocolate’s handcrafted bars. DAR owners Gila & Joel Dar will teach us about cacao and how they make exquisite chocolate straight from the bean. Tea Bar Tearista Aly Thompson will help us pair five of Teatulia’s garden-direct teas with five bean-to-bar chocolates made from cacao the Dars source directly from origin. Cost: $25
Saturday, March 10, 12:00 p.m.: Why Go Organic? A Conversation with Grower's Organic - What is “organic” anyway? Is it just a marketing term? Or is it an important food philosophy that will improve our health and our planet? Join us for a frank and informative Q&A discussion with Denver-based organic food distributor and local farming champion Grower's Organic. All attendees will take home a box of seasonal organic produce! Cost: $25
Saturday, March 31, 4:00 p.m.: Tea & Yoga: Slow Flow & Yin Meditative Class - Indulge in yourself with organic herbal tea and a slow flow yoga practice infused with juicy meditation and a short yin practice at the mama'hood, next door to Tea Bar. This 75 minute yoga class will be paired with a complimentary sampling of Teatulia’s organic herbal teas. We’ll incorporate the mindfulness of sipping and savoring tea into our yoga practice on the mat, and we’ll leave time for tea Q&A after class. Cost: $20
Saturday, April 14, 12:00 p.m.: Kombucha Workshop - Back by popular demand! Local kombucha brewer and Johnson & Wales culinary nutrition grad Ashlee Redger will lead this hands-on workshop to teach us how to make the probiotic-filled, tea-spiked beverage that everyone is talking about. Everyone will leave with their very own kombucha starter that they’ll make in class. Cost: $25
Saturday, May 12, 12:00 p.m.: How to Start an Herbal Tea Garden - Kick off gardening season with us! Tea Bar Tearista (and gardener extraordinaire!) Daniel will lead us in a how-to session for starting your own herb garden from seeds. All attendees will take home a selection of herb seed starters they’ll plant in class in our compostable Teatulia Organic Tea canisters. Cost: $25
Saturday, June 24, 10:30 a.m.: Free Tea 101 Class - Local tea expert Suzanne Klein will dive into three classic teas - black, green, and white - in this interactive tasting session featuring Teatulia Organic Teas. Cost: Free
Saturday, July 29, 10:30 a.m.: Preserving with Tea Workshop - Local jam queen Kathy Lee, former owner of Modern Gingham Preserves, will teach us how to preserve seasonal peaches using tea as a key ingredient. Everyone will go home with a jar of preserved peaches that they'll make in class. Cost: $25
Saturday, August 26, 10:30 a.m.: Kombucha Workshop - Local Johnson & Wales culinary nutrition and food science grad Ashlee Redger is also a kombucha fanatic. She'll teach us how to make our own probiotic-packed brew at home. All attendees will go home with a kombucha starter kit that they'll make in class. Cost: $25
Saturday, September 30, 10:30 a.m.: Tea & Yoga Energy Flow Class - We're partnering with the lead yoga instructor from the mama'hood for an energizing 60-minute vinyasa yoga class paired with a complimentary sampling of Teatulia’s organic Energy Teas. Cost: $20
Saturday, October 28, 10:30 a.m.: Tea & Cheese Pairing - Just like fine wine, the distinct flavors and different varieties of teas are perfect partners for cheese. Our neighbors from The Truffle Table will lead us in a cheese & tea pairing exploring this partnership. Cost: $20
Saturday, November 18, 10:30 a.m.: Free Coffee Cupping with Ozo Coffee - We're proud to serve locally roasted Ozo Coffee at Tea Bar. Ozo will lead us in a coffee cupping where we'll get to taste different varieties. We'll talk about how their coffee is made as well as the best methods for brewing at home. Cost: Free
Saturday, December 9, 10:30 a.m.: Cooking with Tea: Holiday Treats - Looking for unique holiday treats? Learn how to make tea-infused treats of all kinds, like chocolate tea truffles, tea sugars, tea-candied nuts, tea cookies, and more! Local tea expert Suzanne Klein will teach this interactive cooking with tea class. All guests will take home a box of giftable tea treats they'll make in class. Cost: $20
Saturday, January 13, 12:00 p.m.: Mad About Matcha! - Curious about matcha? Come discover what all the buzz is about regarding this antioxidant rich green tea powder. Our very own Tea Bar Tearista Aly Thompson will lead this workshop to answer all your matcha questions. All attendees will go home with their very own matcha whisk! Cost: $25
